Projects description in brief IBM® SmartCloud™
Control Desk unified asset and service management software provides a common
control center for managing business processes for both digital and physical
assets. This IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)-compliant software is
accessible through mobile devices and integrates with social media and
development tools and available as a software as a service (SasS) as well. At Colgate, 90% of
their assets are leased. All of these leases and the corresponding
assets were managed through excel sheets across many location globally.
Colgate chose SCCD 7.5.1 SaaS model to streamline and create a process to
create and manage leases and their corresponding assets. The current
implementation of TAMIT 7.2.1 at US Cellular had performance limitations in
importing the discovered Network information by ITNM as Configuration Items
(CIs). SCCD 7.5.1 has out of the box support to import LTE device
information along with other Network element information as CIs. Contribution
· Leading the Requirements gather phase for the load of
Lease / Contract and Asset information at few sites of Colgate. · Defining and Implementing the data load process on SCCD
7.5.1 · Train the Contract / Asset Management team in Mumbai on
the data load process. · End to end deployment of SCCD 7.5.1 for US Cellular,
which includes the below activities o Installation of SCCD 7.5.1 using Oracle 11g scan/rack
implementation. o Clustering o Integration with Novel eDirectory · Integration of SCCD 7.5.1 with ITNM 4.1.1 using IdML
loader. · Demonstration of SCCD features and training the customer
on Configuration Management process.

Projects
description in brief Inconsistencies in the deployment of software components
have created significant problems in solution development, while also
creating limitations and adding complexity to the maintenance and support of
products in the field. The term “software deployment” generally covers
the design, management, and execution of installation, configuration,
activation, upgrade, patching and removal of individual software components
as well as groups of components and complete, integrated software solutions.
As part of the Nortel's OAM Platform Software Deployment
System to manage individual software component or Installable Unit (IU)
through the various software management procedures, there was a specific
requirement to align IBM Tivoli’s Netcool product Suite into the Software
Deployment Descriptor framework. Each IBM Tivoli’s Netcool
Product/component will have an associated Deployment Descriptor describing
the various operations that are applicable to the same. The Unitary
Operations are independent piece of executable code for various software
lifecycle operations as defined in the Solution Deployment Descriptor (SDD)
Specification Document
8 unitary operation were defined to carry out the
various deployment functions namely: create (install), initConfig, update,
undo, configure, delete (un-install), prepareMigrate and migrate. All
the unitary operations were implemented using Perl scripts. Each Perl
Script would expect a response file containing the answers as values to the
questions that the Installable Artifact would prompt for in an interactive
mode. The response file would be an XML file. Each script when
invoked by an External Entity (such as the Software Management Engine like
eTPM) would read the XML response file and would perform the intended
operation accordingly. Upon the completion of the task or when an error
is encountered the script would exit and would log the details in a log file. Netcool
Products Integrated: Omnibus 7.2, Webtop 2.1, Precision IP & TN (ITNM –
IP 3.7 and TN 5.6), Impact 4.0.2, Reporter 2.2, NcKL 1.3, Security Manager
1.3, Gateways and Probes.

interacted with all stakeholders and successfully understood and produced the
requirement document. · Netcool Subject Matter Expert – Trained and Guided the team of 12 (both Development
and QA) in designing, coding, testing and documenting the scripts for all the
Netcool products. · Integration Manager – Was the single point of contact and had the last word in
implementing the Integration. · User Acceptance Test – Successfully conducted the UAT at the client (Nortel) end and got
the sign-off.

description in brief Navis Optical Network Management System (NMS) is
a Lucent Proprietary product used in the Optical Transport Network for
managing huge number of SONET / SDH Network Elements. This Product falls in
third layer of the TMN architecture. This product provides one site solution
for managing the entire transport network. The Product helps in configuring,
Administering, Alarm processing and Fault detection of Network elements in
the Network. This product has a number of modules, which perform
function like Fault Management, Configuration (Traffic) Management, and
Performance Management. I was involved mainly in Fault Management (FM) module. The
module receives alarms (in both TMF and TMAG format) from both TL1 and CMISE
Network elements through the respective EMS (Element Management
System). The alarms are correlated to a network entity, the extent of
failure of that network entity is calculated and going further the service
impact of this failure is also calculated and shown to the user. Contribution
